Sand Dollars

We went on a walk down to the beach and we found the water at very low tide. There were hundreds of live sand dollars on the beach! Each of those little black disks is a sand dollar. Later, on another walk to the beach, the live ones were either gone (do they swim? I dunno) or covered by the water but there were hundreds of the dead-collectible-skeletons of sand dollars everywhere.
