Walking Stick

At night, we spotted this little guy, a "walking stick" (or stick insect) outside on the deck. I captured him because I wanted J to get a chance to see one - they are pretty hard to find because they are so well camouflaged. This is only the 2nd or third one I have seen in my life. He scampered quickly up and down my arms but J was able to snap a few photos. They don't really convey how these little guys really look exactly like a stick of wood.
