The Daily Show
Here we are waiting in line to get into the studio audience of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I have never been in a TV audience before, despite all this time in NY, so it was pretty exciting.

Things I won't miss about NY, part 1...
We have decided, after my recent "check again just to be sure" trip, that we are finally going to move out of NY and head over to the west coast to live in Seattle, WA. I am super excited about the move, but I have to patiently wait here in NY until we can get job and home things in order.
*sigh* It's finally time to leave Seattle. The butterflies in my stomach are from the excitement that I might be living here in a few months! It's very hard to go back to NY and wait it out.
Game nights are always a lot of fun and usually create some of the best inside jokes. The best line that survived from tonight was "That sucking sound you hear is 'Mr. Dragonfire'". Scroll down for more photos. "
Here are the Dragonfires pretending that J was out to eat with us. We thought this was funny at the time.
We also took the ferry out to Bainbridge Island. You get great views of Seattle from the water.
The usual gang of suspects showed up to hang out with me in Seattle and like the big dorks we all are, we headed off for a day at the Seattle Public Library! Actually, it is a super cool building and well worth the trip. It's like an hour of free entertainment. It is very designy and architecturey so if you come to visit I will take you there.
A big huge THANKS to my friend D who introduced me to Seattle and has now TWICE showed me the sites and helped convince me to move here. I was pretty sold when we went on this hike in Discovery Park.
When I took this photograph on 1-19-2007, I had no idea that I was actually missing a great view.
I didn't know that you could see Mt. Ranier from this exact vantage point until I shot this picture on 1-24-2008.
On my way from NY to Seattle via Boston. This is somewhere over the east coast at like 400 mph. I am headed out there to see if it's where we want to move. I figured if I can stand it in January, I will be able to stand it any time!
All weekend long, she was in love with my scarf! It was a belt, a tie, a lasso to rescue animals, and many many other things. Who needs toys when you have a scarf and an imagination!? But, at this point, it was just something that needed a good snuggle.
Here is J, making his case, in our long-running sidpute over Brontosaurus v. Apatosaurus.
The Mannings are in NY for a visit!
Today we took Julia to see the dinosaurs at the Museum of Natural History. She was suitably impressed!
Woke up to a beautifully gray, dreary day. Went for a long walk in the park and photographed the mist, fog, and rain. I wore my shiny red wellies which always make me feel special!
Since we are starting a big year, thinking of moving to the Pacific Northwest, I considered it a very good omen that 2007 should start with a day like today and that I should find walking and shooting in this weather so pleasant.
