Tennyson St.
Finally, it was time to say goodbye to Camp Yuppie 2005.
On the way home we stopped by where J grew up in Poet's Corners (where all the streets are named for poets, how cute). We took his picture under Tennyson St. to send to our friend Tennyson in Brazil.
I also got on a bicycle for the first time in about 17 years so, of course, I had to get my picture taken. Who know that clip-on pedals and bicycle shorts would be a short 4 years ahead of me?
There was a lovely little lake for swimming (no coincidence I am sure) so of course the Dragonfires were off for a swim while the rest of us spectated.
I guess they looked a little hardcore then, but I didn't really have
Smokey Joe wanted to make sure his mom was ok, but he couldn't swim as far as she was going so we had to keep him on the shore.
He watched intently though...
The usual cast of characters...Michelle (who will probably hate that I posted this photo)...
Todd with Smokey Joe begging for food...
Mrs. Cyclone, looking delightfully evil over her coffee...
Mr. Cyclone, p.s. I like my bacon well done!
and Smokey Joe (hard to believe, an only dog at that time)
J wore some of his "woodsiest" clothes camping...
Since we'd never been camping together, I didn't figure this city boy could put up a tent.
But he can!
This was me and Jason's first time camping together and our first time camping with this group too - who we sort of didn't really even know all that well at the time! We have, from left to right, The Cyclones, Michelle's sister Allissa, me, Todd, J, Smokey Joe, and Michelle.
